   I’ve never been more excited about a political campaign than Bernie Sanders. And Sanders has been shown to beat Trump in a general election by a bigger margin than Clinton. Bernie Sanders’ positions are real, his campaign financing is honest and can’t be bought off, and if he wins the nomination for once we don’t have to vote for the lesser of the two evils. As someone who bought into a lot of Obama’s 2008 campaign hype, I still knew his positions were fairly moderate. And when in office, those moderate positions were compromised down to extremely moderate to downright right wing policies. I don’t regret voting Obama, and I will be voting Clinton if she is the nominee this time around, but if Bernie wins? Being able to vote for someone I would actually choose to be president whose record as a congressman and political positions align with the principles of ending poverty, fighting corporate greed, creating democratic elections, ending needless war, bringing actual universal healthcare, universal higher education, equal rights for all… how can someone not be excited about Sanders again? His compromised positions to ” actually get things done” in office are going to look a hell of a lot better than Obama, whose positions STARTED compromised.

   Anyway, Sanders/Warren 2016!

   I don’t disagree; I like Sanders quite a bit, and love that he’s not beholden to all of the private interests that Hilary and the Republicans are. I do have trouble believing some of the polls showing how he would crush all other candidates, though. A lot of them are online public polls, meaning that most of the participants are younger, and already seeking out ways to support Bernie Sanders. They also tend to be the demographic that doesn’t actually turn out to vote come election time. I hope that’s not the case this time.

   I also really hope that Congress shifts back towards the Democrats. No matter who gets elected, they won’t be able to get anything done if Congress can’t compromise on anything.
